Special Events

  • Official introduction: at IK you arrive and we throw you right into it. But don’t worry. A proper welcome and information will be given after dinner on the first night of IK.

  • Conference Dinner and colorful evening (“Bunter Abend”): Tuesday night is conference dinner night. This is a special night with nice food and most importantly a subsequent program organized by you! Usually, we have an IK choir performing and a lot of other acts. Also, since it is such a special night, feel free to dress up a little bit.

  • More information to the poster session, rainbow courses, accessibility and the sunshines and moonshines can be found on the website soon:

Activities

  • Sports: The surroundings are perfect for jogging or biking for those of you who like outdoor exercise. Also the Heinrich-Lübke house has an indoor pool and a sauna and you may play skittles, billiard or table-tennis.

This means that swimming clothes, sports clothes and table tennis rackets should be on your packing list.

  • Music in the fireplace area: At night there are often spontaneous jam sessions in the fireplace area. There is a piano there and you are of course welcome to bring your own instruments. So don’t be shy and join in!

  • Bar: There is a bar in the basement. It is a cosy place to continue interesting chats about the lectures you heard throughout the day or just to get to know awesome people. You can buy all kinds of drinks and some snacks there for little money. The bar opens up every night at around 19:00.
